Fourteen nonprofit grantees provided outreach, education, and free local tax preparation events so more families could access the Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, state and federal returns, and other tax benefits. Services were offered in 15 languages to historically under-resourced families. Over 500,000 engagements/touch points with families for tax education, outreach, and assistance have been made possible through this initiative.
The launch of this effort was made possible by support from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the EITC Funders Network.
