Common Scholarship Application
The San Diego Foundation Common Scholarship Application provides students access to more than 130 scholarship opportunities with awards ranging from $1,000 to more than $5,000. Some scholarships can be renewed for multiple years to help offset the financial burden for a student’s entire undergraduate career.
Help Students Pursue their Educational Goals
Since 1997, the Community Scholarship Program has awarded more than $53 million to more than 14,000 college students from San Diego, making our program the largest non-university scholarship provider in San Diego County.
The Community Scholarship Program helps to:
Provide Need-Based Support
Supporting scholarships for low-to-middle income students (93% of 2022 – 2023 scholarship recipients) means they spend less time working, incur less debt, and dedicate themselves more fully to academic coursework and internships. Click here to view 2024-2025 scholarship demographics data.
Support Degree Attainment
For every $1,000 of grants and scholarships a student receives, they are 5% more likely to continue their education
Build Resilient Communities
