October 16, 2024 – Carlsbad, CA – Carlsbad Charitable Foundation (CCF), a regional affiliate of San Diego Foundation (SDF), invites local organizations to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) for projects that that address the health and well-being of children and families.

This can include addressing self-sufficiency, childcare, mental health, food insecurity, healthy lifestyles, housing insecurity and/or domestic violence.  These projects should be culturally humble and sensitive, practical and achievable within a 12-month time frame and have prospects for long-term sustainability.

“Our goal with this grant funding is to support local families and children with programs and services that will provide stability and resources to help them thrive in Carlsbad,” said Bret Schanzenbach, Board Chair of the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation.

The LOI is the first step in a two-step application process, which will facilitate the allocation of funding for Carlsbad-centered projects. The funding range is $10,000 to $25,000. The foundation will evaluate all LOI submittals and qualify those that meet the project and eligibility criteria.

The deadline for submitting the LOI is 5 p.m. on Dec. 7, 2024. Those organizations invited to submit a full application will be notified in January to submit a completed application by Feb. 7, 2024. To apply, visit SDFoundation.org/apply.

Since 2008, CCF has granted more than $1.4 million to over 55 programs helping grow a more vibrant community so that families today, as well as the next generation of Carlsbad residents, have a place they are proud to call home.
