  • Nonprofit Management Solutions – Virtual Workshops: Nonprofit Management Solutions holds a series of live, virtual workshops for nonprofits and individuals working for nonprofits throughout the year. They also provide access to their Foundation Directory Online Professional, a fully searchable database of more than 100,000 foundation and corporate grantmakers.    
  • Free Candid Webinar: Candid will be hosting a free webinar for nonprofits to learn the simple steps needed to earn a 2022 Candid Seal of Transparency and prepare for a year of funding success. Create a free Candid Learning account and log in to enroll. Webinar date: Wednesday, February 16, 2022.  
  • Fundraising Fridays: Join local colleagues in philanthropy every Friday for this informal, virtual time to check in with one another, ask questions, and get advice on fundraising matters. Be sure to RSVP for the next Fundraising Friday, February 18, 2022 from 9:00AM-10:00AM.

  • The California Department of Education is accepting applications for their Social Isolation Supports Grant from community-based organizations supporting local educational agencies with technical assistance and/or the implementation of high quality integrated academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning practices that target counter social isolation. Deadline: February 18, 2022  
  • The Pacific Marine and Estuarine Fish Habitat Partnership (PMEP) is accepting proposals for funding for fish habitat restoration and protection projects for its FY2023 funding cycle. PMEP will award an estimated $100,000-$350,000 in 2023 for projects that advance its mission. Deadline: February 25, 2022, 5:00PM  
  • Dogs Trust USA is accepting applications from nonprofits that make a strong impact on and lasting improvements to dog welfare. Deadline: March 1, 2022  
  • California Humanities’ California Documentary Project (CDP) NEXT GEN program invites applications from California-based nonprofit organizations and public agencies with established track records in youth media programming to provide training and support to emerging media makers in the creation of short, insightful nonfiction films and/or podcasts that tell original stories about life in California today. Deadline: March 1, 2022  
  • The Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation is accepting applications for their Community Grants Program. They concentrate their giving on nonprofits that support direct-service programming that incorporates a diversity, equity, and inclusion focus. Deadline: March 4, 2022, 5:00PM   
  • The California State Coastal Conservancy is accepting applications from public agencies, federally recognized tribes and Indigenous communities, and nonprofit organizations for programs that facilitate and enhance the public’s opportunities to explore California’s spectacular coast and San Francisco Bay shoreline. Deadline: March 11, 2022, 5:00PM  
  • The Sundt Foundation is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children and disadvantaged adults. Deadline: March 15, 2022  
  • Grey Muzzle is accepting applications from shelters, rescue groups, sanctuaries and other nonprofit organizations whose activities include helping senior dogs. Deadline: March 16, 2022  
  • AARP invites local organizations and governments across the country to apply for the 2022 AARP Community Challenge grant program. Grants fund quick-action projects that help communities become more livable in the long term by improving public spaces, transportation, housing, civic engagement, diversity, and inclusion, and more. Deadline: March 22, 2022, 5:00PM EST  
  • NBC Universal Foundation is accepting applications for their Project Innovation grant program that addresses the following: Culture of Inclusion, Youth Education and Empowerment, Next Generation Storytellers, and Community Engagement. Deadline: March 25, 2022, 7:50PM EST  
  • The Rapid Ocean Conservation (ROC) Grants Program is accepting applications. ROC Grants provide small grants with a quick turnaround time for solutions to emerging conservation issues and ocean protection. This complements the Waitt Foundation’s existing major grants program and is responsive to conservation opportunities, supports higher-risk ideas at a low financial cost, and engages with small, local NGOs on a global scale. Deadline: Rolling

  • Through a partnership with The San Diego Foundation, Nonprofit Management Solutions offers access to a free resource library for management and fundraising information.   
  • The 0% interest period and payment pause for federal student loans will end May 1, 2022. If you are employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.    
  • Candid has an easy-to-use resource collection. Get up to date information and guidance to support confident decision making for social good.
