Members and Friends,
Happy spring! What an exciting time of the year, all made possible by your generosity.
We are gearing up to grant out to several deserving organizations and getting ready to celebrate our collective impact at the annual grants celebration. This year’s event will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, at Full Swing Golf. Please RSVP here. We hope to see you all there!
As we all know, membership growth and community engagement are so important to drive greater impact. Let’s continue to share CCF’s impact with our neighbors, colleagues, and friends. Please follow, like, and share our CCF Facebook page and check out this podcast featuring Board Chair Justin Peek. These are just some of the resources we can use to increase awareness, highlight the collaborative spirit of our charitable foundation, and share with prospective members.
As always, we appreciate your support of Carlsbad Charitable Foundation as we celebrate and invest in the people and programs dedicated to improving the Carlsbad community.

Member Spotlight: Scott and Jessica Ferrette
Scott and Jessica Ferrette moved to the greater Carlsbad area in 2022 with their daughters London, age 4, and Adeline, age 1. Having lived in big cities on both coasts, they are excited to settle down in beautiful Carlsbad and were eager to be able to give back to the community where they are going to raise their young family.
After meeting with Justin Peek and learning about the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, they felt that the mission and leadership at CCF were a great place to be able to participate in helping to shape the community. They are excited to meet other like-minded individuals and continue to grow in their participation in finding charitable opportunities.
Jessica is a small business owner as a fashion consultant and Scott is a financial professional.
Grantee Spotlight: Assistance League of North Coast
In June 2022, Carlsbad Charitable Foundation awarded a $29,075 grant to Assistance League of North Coast for the Clothing Children program. Thanks to CCF funding, Assistance League, with the help of 55 volunteers, was able to successfully execute four shopping trips to JCPenney to purchase badly needed winter clothing for 179 Carlsbad K-5 students.
“The goal of providing school clothing to the neediest school children in Carlsbad has become a joyful reality for the Assistance League of North Coast. Thanks to CCF funding, 179 children had warm clothes during the past cold winter months and were able to study without the distraction of uncomfortable, inappropriate clothing.”-Angela Bear, Assistance League of North Coast Grant Chair
