SAN DIEGO (April 7, 2025) – San Diego Foundation (SDF) announced today that the San Diego Fundraising Conference presented by PNC Bank has launched registration for nonprofit professionals for the two-day event taking place Sept. 19 and 20, 2025, at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.
“This year, we’re going bigger and better than ever before,” said Mark Stuart, President & CEO of SDF. “We’re bringing together our country’s top fundraising experts, best-selling authors and a community of like-minded development professionals who care about making an impact for their communities.”
The third annual conference provides professional development for nonprofit fundraisers to help sustain and grow revenue and organizational capacity so nonprofits can better serve their communities even during uncertain times. To register, visit SDFoundation.org/SDFC.
The early bird registration rate for San Diego nonprofit professionals is $279 and will be available until midnight, Saturday, May 31. Thereafter, regular registration for San Diego nonprofit professionals will be $349 until the event sells out or August 30, 2025. The event has sold out within weeks each year.
Registration includes access to dozens of learning sessions with fundraising experts; lunch and coffee throughout the two days; a networking happy hour on day one, and promotional items such as a reusable tote bag, a copy of the book “The Generosity Crisis” and a water bottle. The cost of registration is less than the fair market value of the conference, thanks to sponsor support.
The conference theme—“Breaking Barriers, Building Futures”—reflects this affordable opportunity for development professionals to learn from national, regional and local experts about how to navigate the evolving fundraising landscape.
The two-day conference will feature many speakers, including nationally bestselling author of “The Generosity Crisis” Nathan Chappell, as a keynote speaker. Chappell is a thought leader, public speaker, author and AI inventor. As a nonprofit leader, his fundraising experience spans more than two decades where he led large-scale nonprofit organizations and multi-billion-dollar fundraising campaigns. His award-winning book “The Generosity Crisis” and podcast shape nonprofit fundraising’s future.
In addition to expanding to two days, the conference includes an education sponsor this year—National University Fundraising Academy. National University Fundraising Academy will coordinate programming for early career fundraising professionals to enrich collective knowledge, facilitate meaningful connections and equip cause champions with practical tools to elevate their organization’s impact.
