Senior Director, Marketing

As Senior Director of Marketing at San Diego Foundation, Jon Haber leads the organization’s multi-channel marketing strategies to generate awareness, engagement and philanthropy across San Diego County.

With more than 15 years of experience in marketing, digital strategy and content development, including over a decade in the nonprofit sector, Jon plays a pivotal role in shaping SDF’s online presence, driving donor engagement and building meaningful experiences for partners.

Jon oversees SDF’s website, digital campaigns, email marketing and social media efforts, ensuring a cohesive content strategy and data-driven approach to support outreach and fundraising goals. In collaboration with colleagues and vendors, he develops targeted content, optimizes user experiences and implements marketing strategies that increase impact and revenue for key SDF initiatives like the Fifty & Forward Campaign, National Rainbow College Fund and Affinity Fund program.

In addition to his role at San Diego Foundation, Jon serves on the board of the American Marketing Association (AMA) San Diego chapter, where he helps lead professional development and networking opportunities for the region’s marketing community. Prior to joining SDF, Jon held several marketing roles in the for-profit sector, specializing in digital transformation and audience growth.

A Los Angeles native, Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism and communications from the University of Southern California.
